Swiss pine is a popular ornamental tree in parks and large gardens with a steady slow growth and can tolerate severe winter conditions including at least -50C and wind exposure. A member of the white pine group, Swiss pine is very resistant to White Pine Blister Rust. A bonus! - the seeds are harvested and sold as pine nuts which can be used to deliciously flavour salads, breads and much more!
