Description:
A vigorous grower and heavy producer of dark red fruit, the Brookred is a hardy Japanese plum released by the Brooks Horticultural Centre in 1962. The plums which are good for eating and cooking grow up to 4cm long and mature in early September.

The Brookred plum grows best on well drained sandy loam soil in a full sun location. Pollinate with a Opata, Pembina Plum or a Sand Cherry.
