Snowberry |
---|
Waxy white berry, for shade and poor soils. Grows 3-5 ft. |
Snowberry |
Botanical (latin) name: | Syphoricarpos alba |
---|---|
Zone | 2 |
Description:
This is one of the few shade tolerant shrubs available to zone 2 areas. It will however grow in sunny areas as well. This is a good shrub to use if you are looking for something to 'fill in the gaps', as this shrub does suck. However, if it is planted in a confined area you can control the suckering. The berries are not edible, and birds do not care for them either. Snowberry branch look very nice as fillers for bouquets. |
