Description:
Prunus mandshurica is a small, round-headed tree reaching 15 to 20 feet in height. The leaves are broad, simple, ovate or broad-elliptic and mostly smooth, medium green. The flowers are single, pink and over 1 inch wide, borne in late spring. It is very attractive in flower and can be relied on in climates where other Prunus may not flower. Introduced from Korea in 1900. Order early as this variety sells out very quickly!! |
