This tree has a height of nineft and 5ft for width. This Cherry
tree likes full sun. An excellent new introduction with beautiful
dark red fruit that is great for fresh eating. This cultivar is
vigorous and hardy, and is quite lovely in tree or shrub form.
These cherries are ready to eat the second week in July. They
tend to be a smaller cherry with dark flesh. They also have a
higher acidity but a sweeter taste.
Juliet Cherry features showy clusters of white flowers along the
branches in mid spring. It has green foliage throughout the
season. The glossy oval leaves turn yellow in fall. The dark red
fruits are held in abundance in spectacular clusters in mid
summer, which are excellent for cooking, baking and making jams
and jellies. This is a self-pollinating variety, so it doesn't
require a second plant nearby to set fruit.
Taste this cherry in Mr. V's demonstration orchard.
