Description:
Horse manure is an excellent source of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium plus a whole host of micro nutrients. As well as being an excellent fertilizer the organic matter in cattle manure adds tilth to the soil by increasing the pore space allowing greater water retention, and increased root penetration. Horse manure tends to have a lower nutrient value so it is not as "hot" as cattle manure and therefore can be applied as a raw product, but the composted product tends to have fewer weed seeds. |
