The small green fruit has a reddish-purple overlay and green flesh. This is one of the best fresh eating cherry plums, with its juicy flavor but only fair for preserves. Grows best on well drained sandy loam soils in a full sun location. Requires a sandcherry or another cherry plum as a pollinator
